Editing order items
Add and remove products, correct quantities and prices, match unrecognized items and split fulfilment across warehouses.
Manage order items in the Products section of the order screen. In the normal view, the section is read-only; its buttons appear only after you enable edit mode.
Step by step
- Open an order and scroll to Products.
- Click the pencil icon on the right side of the section header. Its tooltip is Edit. The section switches to edit mode.
- A green + icon appears in the header (tooltip Add product). Rows show quantity and price fields, a trash icon and, when needed, an Assign button and scissors icon.
- Make your changes. Each one is saved separately when you perform it; there is no “save” button.
- Exit edit mode with the green ✓ icon (tooltip Done). It sends any quantity and price changes that have not yet been submitted, then exits edit mode. It does not undo anything.
Add a product
- Enter edit mode and click the green + (Add product).
- In the Add product dialog, type a name or EAN in Search products. Suggestions start after two characters.
- Click an item in the results. The rest of the form appears only then.
- Enter Quantity, Gross price, Net price and VAT rate %. Prices are suggested from the product record.
- Click Add. The button stays disabled until you select a product. After saving, Product added appears.
Change quantity and price
- Enter edit mode. The Quantity and Price columns become editable fields.
- Enter a new value and press Enter or click outside the field; it saves then. The green check mark (Done) also submits any changes not yet sent (for example, a value adjusted with the field arrows or an on-screen keyboard).
- The confirmation is Quantity updated or Price updated.
Inline editing changes only quantity and gross price. Net price in the table cannot be changed; it is available only in the add-product dialog. Unchanged values and quantities below 1 are silently ignored.
Unrecognized item
A marketplace order may contain an item that the system could not match to a product record. There is no separate marker for it: the Product column shows the name sent by the sales channel, or Unknown if no name was supplied. The reliable indication appears only in edit mode.
- Enter edit mode. An orange Assign button appears beside an item without a matching product record. Matched items do not have it.
- Click it to open Assign product.
- Find the correct product record and click it in the results.
- Confirm with Assign. The confirmation says Product assigned.
Until you do this, the warehouse has no product to pick.
Why an item is unrecognized
Matching tries keys in sequence: by default the barcode (EAN), then, if configured for the connection, the product code (SKU) and name. The first match wins. An item remains unrecognized when:
- No key matches a product record — the channel sent a code missing from the catalog or sent no code.
- One key matches two product records — for example, two records have the same barcode. The system will not guess which one to use.
- The barcode and product code point to different records — the channel sent the EAN for record A and SKU for record B. Rather than ship whichever wins a coin toss, the system holds the item. The import log gives the reason and lists both records by number.
- The code field contains a placeholder, not a product code — when splitting a product into variants, the seller may not yet have a code for the new row and may enter a placeholder such as
<parent code>_product_idinstead of leaving the field empty. That code matches no record; a variant just detached from its parent may still carry the parent’s barcode, making the only remaining key especially unreliable. The item is held. How the placeholder looks for a particular store is configured on the connection (product_code_placeholder_suffixes). Unless its suffix is listed there, this reason will never apply, because each store marks blank codes differently.
The last two cases indicate a problem to correct in the store, not in Noxti: every variant should have its own unique product code and barcode, and a barcode must not be shared by different sizes or colors. Until the store is fixed, assign the item manually with Assign. This is deliberate: holding an item is safer than shipping the wrong product.
The import log for each item contains exactly what arrived from the channel — barcode, product code, name and external ID — and the value used to match the item.
Split an item across warehouses
- Enter edit mode and click the scissors beside the item. The tooltip says Split this product quantity between warehouses. The icon appears only when the quantity is greater than 1 and the integration maps at least two warehouses.
- The Split product between warehouses dialog starts with two rows. Set Warehouse and Quantity in each.
- Add more portions with Add split. Remove an unnecessary row with its trash icon (available when there are more than two rows).
- Watch Remaining. The confirmation button stays disabled until it reaches zero.
- Click Split. You’ll see Product was split.
Fulfilment warehouse for an item
The warehouse has no separate column; it is shown in the product-name cell.
- In normal view, you’ll see a warehouse name or an orange Unassigned marker.
- In edit mode, that cell contains Fulfilment wh., with Auto as the hint for an empty value. A selection saves immediately without confirmation: Fulfilment warehouse updated.
- If the integration has no warehouse mapping, the cell says No fulfilment warehouse mapping for this integration.
Remove an item
In edit mode, the last column of each row has a red trash icon with no label or tooltip.
Bundles
A bundle item has a Bundle marker and expands to show Bundle components:. The warehouse picks the components, not the bundle itself.
Want to see this with your orders? We’ll show you NOXTI with your sales channels and warehouse.
