Bulk actions on the order list
What the action bar can do: statuses, printouts, labels, documents, marketplace refresh and editing several fields at once.
Select orders in the list. The action bar replaces search and filters and shows the number of selected rows on the left.
Step by step
- Select order rows with the checkboxes in the first column. The table header checkbox selects the current page.
- A selection bar appears above the table: {count} selected. If results span multiple pages, a Select all {count} link appears below the counter. It selects the entire filtered result and adds (all pages). Clear all pages reverses this.
- Choose an action from the bar:
- Change status... — enter or select a status.
- Purple Accept button.
- Actions button with a counter — other operations are in its menu.
- Red ✗ (Cancel) — clears the selection; it does not cancel orders.
- Order-changing actions (Change status..., Accept, Full marketplace refresh) are delayed: a bar appears at the bottom with the action name, order count and a 5-second countdown. Click Undo during that time to cancel everything; nothing is sent to the orders and the selection remains. Other actions, such as printing and checking payments, start immediately. The scope (selected rows or the full filter) is fixed when you click; sorting or changing the filter during the countdown has no effect.
- Check the message at the bottom. Some actions do not show one; see “What each action reports” below.
Available actions
These are options, not a sequence.
Directly in the bar:
- Change status... — search for a status; selecting one assigns it to all selected orders.
- Accept — purple button beside the status field.
- Cancel — red ✗ at the end of the bar; clears the selection.
In the Actions menu (section headings are labels, not clickable):
- Edit — opens bulk editing.
- Print section: Shipping labels, Documents.
- Marketplace section: Check marketplace payments, Full marketplace refresh (the latter requires the relevant permission).
- Custom events section — workflow triggers defined by your company. It appears only when the company has at least one visible trigger (Custom events — manually triggered buttons).
What each action reports
| Action | Message after execution |
|---|---|
| Change status... | 5-second Undo bar, then Status changed: …, errors: … (yellow if none changed or there are errors) |
| Accept | same as above |
| Edit | none; the list simply refreshes |
| Shipping labels | warning that only the first item will print if more than one is selected |
| Documents | same as above |
| Check marketplace payments | Checked: …, updated: …, skipped: …, errors: … |
| Full marketplace refresh | 5-second Undo bar, then Full refresh: …, skipped: …, errors: … |
| workflow trigger | {name}: started for {count}, plus skipped {count} if relevant |
Bulk editing
- Select orders and choose Edit from Actions. This also works with (all pages) enabled; then it covers the full filtered result, not just the visible page.
- The Bulk edit dialog opens. At the top it says {count} orders will be updated.
- Under Select fields to edit, select the checkboxes for fields to change. The value control expands immediately below the selected checkbox; there is no separate second step.
- Enter values. Available fields: Accept (requires accept permission), Payment method, Delivery method, Paid, User comments, Description, Additional field 1, Additional field 2.
- Click Apply. The button shows the number of affected orders in parentheses. It remains disabled until you select a field.
- The dialog closes and the list refreshes. There is no success confirmation; errors appear inside the dialog as Update failed.
