Listing on Empik — product card, moderation, variants
On Empik, a product card is created first; the offer follows only after the card is accepted. Moderation can take up to 72 hours, and the offer waits for a decision during that time.
Empik usually does not know our products, so listing takes two steps. First, we send a product card (title, description, images, and category attributes). Empik reviews it—automatically, and manually for new cards, for up to 72 hours. Only after the card is accepted do we send the offer (price and stock).
What you see while it is in progress
After submission, the product has the status “Awaiting marketplace approval.” The system checks with Empik for a result every 5 minutes—you do not need to click anything. When Empik accepts the card and offer, the offer becomes active. If Empik rejects it, the offer gets an error status with the reason Empik provides (for example, a missing required attribute or an invalid value). If there is still no decision after 96 hours, the offer is marked as expired and can be sent again.
Empik requirements
- EAN—without it, the product will not be sent.
- An Empik category assigned to the catalog category.
- At least one image—the first is the main image, and the others follow in the same order.
You do not need to map the title, description, images, EAN, SKU, or category—the system takes them from the product. Map the remaining category attributes (for example, brand, color, size, and VAT rate) as you do for other channels. Select multiple values for one attribute from the list; the system sends them in the format Empik expects.
Variants
Products in the same family (same model and color) are sent to Empik as one variant group.
Description
The text sections of the description are sent to the product card. Images in the description are skipped—Empik displays the gallery separately.
