Listing products on Allegro — one offer, four markets

You list a catalog product on Allegro using the listing wizard. Allegro has one account and one offer. The offer is created on allegro.pl in Polish zloty. The same offer is sold on allegro.cz (CZK), allegro.sk (EUR), and allegro.hu (HUF)—you do not create separate offers there.

Categories

Before you choose a category, the system must download Allegro's category tree. The channel does not have it before the first listing. The category step then shows only the Download categories button; there is no search box because there is nothing to search yet.

Downloading takes a few minutes (Allegro has tens of thousands of categories) and runs in the background. A spinner remains while the download runs, with elapsed time shown below it. Allegro does not report how many categories remain, so there is no percentage. The list appears automatically; the screen checks every half-minute. You can leave it open or come back later.

Prices in foreign markets

In the Allegro connection settings, each market (CZ, SK, HU) has its own mode:

Allegro does not offer a “do not sell on this market” switch on an offer. Delivery methods in the price list determine visibility. If a market is set to Do not sell but the delivery price list ships to that country, the system will hold the listing—otherwise the offer would still appear abroad. Correct the Allegro price list or change the market mode.

If the delivery price list in settings is empty and any market is set to “Do not sell”, the system uses the account's only price list or the one named “default.” It must check the list to find out whether delivery reaches a blocked country. An account with several price lists and no “default” requires you to choose a list in settings.

Prices in forints are rounded to full 5 Ft increments—Allegro will not accept any other ending.

Status of a new offer

By default, a new offer is created on Allegro as a draft. Check it in your account, then activate it. You can change this in the connection settings.

Why the product was not listed a second time

The system prevents one product from having two offers. It identifies an offer by its signature (SKU by default):

• If an active offer or draft with that signature is already on the account, another one will not be created. Ended offers do not count.
• A product without an SKU will be rejected—without a signature, a duplicate cannot be detected.
• A product without a publicly accessible image will also fail. Allegro requires at least one image, and only http/https URLs count.
• A product with stock of 0 will not be sent. Allegro will not list an offer with nothing to sell.
• A price stored as 1.234 or 1,234 will be rejected with a request to correct it. Such notation can mean either PLN 1,234 or PLN 1.23, and nothing in the value resolves the ambiguity. The system would rather ask than list a product at a thousand times less than intended. Enter 1234 or 1234.00.
• If the connection to Allegro drops during creation, do not retry immediately. Allegro displays new offers in the list with a delay—check again in a few minutes.

An offer that Allegro is still verifying is shown as created, with a note that verification is in progress.

Sandbox

The sandbox switch in connection settings directs the entire connection to Allegro's test environment. After switching, enter the sandbox application credentials and authorize the connection again. Until you do, the connection reports an authorization error—intentionally, so tokens from one environment cannot be used in the other.
