Check an offer before listing
Before an offer goes to a marketplace, the system checks it using the same code that will send it—and, if requested, asks the marketplace itself without creating anything in the account.
The check has three steps. Each later step runs only if the previous one passes:
- Mappings—does the product have a category and all required parameters? You can see this immediately in the listing window as “ready / needs completion.”
- Offer—the system assembles the offer as it will be sent and checks such things as its title, images, and signature. A product whose offer would fail does not enter the queue; the reason is shown immediately.
- Marketplace—only after you click Check on marketplace. The system queries the account without creating or changing anything.
What the marketplace is asked
The questions are the same for every marketplace; each answers the ones it supports:
- Is there already an offer on the account with the same signature (SKU)? A duplicate is an error.
- Are the GPSR manufacturer and responsible person on the account? If not, but there is enough data, you get a warning that listing will add them. If data is missing, you get an error listing what is missing.
- Marketplace-specific checks—for Allegro, whether the delivery price list sells the offer in a market set to “Do not sell.”
Currently, Allegro is queried. Other marketplaces go through steps 1–2. If a marketplace does not respond, you get a warning; this does not block listing, and the final decision is made during publication.
