VAT rate when listing — separately for each country
The same product has a 23% rate in Poland, 21% in Czechia, and 27% in Hungary. An offer uses the rate for the country where it is sold—from the catalog or a mapping.
The VAT rate depends on the country where the goods are sold. That is why an offer gets its rate separately for each country where it is listed.
Where the rate comes from
- From the VAT rate (country) field in the wizard, if you fill it in—this is the selection for that offer.
- Otherwise, from the product's VAT rates in the catalog for the relevant country.
One country's rate does not replace another's. If a product has a rate only for Poland but the offer is also sold in Hungary, the wizard warns that the HU rate is missing; it will not send 23%.
What each marketplace does
- Allegro—sends the rate for Poland and for every market (CZ, SK, HU) where the offer is sold. A country without a rate gets Allegro's default rate.
- eMAG—the rate for the connection's country (RO, BG, or HU) is automatically converted to an eMAG rate number. You do not have to select it. If the rate is missing or eMAG does not recognize it, the offer will not be sent.
- InPost—uses the rate for Poland. Without one, we send 23% and the wizard warns you. A price change to an existing offer also uses the product's rate.
- bol, Modivo (Mirakl), Turis—VAT rates are not sent.
The simplest approach is to fill in product VAT rates for every country where you sell. Leave the wizard fields for exceptions.
