Bulk actions on products
Categories, attributes, VAT, activation, synchronization queue, and listing—on selected rows or the full filtered result.
Selecting products replaces the toolbar above the list with a bulk-action bar. You can work on selected rows or select all products matching the filters—then the operation covers the entire search result, including products beyond the visible page.
Step by step
- Open Products—directly below the Catalog section heading, not inside the group with the same name.
- Narrow the list with filters. If the action affects categories or attributes, start by selecting a catalog (Filtering products); otherwise the “One catalog at a time” restriction will block you.
- Select products. The table header checkbox selects the current page; Select all N in the bar selects the entire filtered result.
- Check the bar counter—N selected. When all pages are selected, this is the only number that tells you the true scope. The × at the start of the bar clears the selection and restores the toolbar.
- Run an action. The main button is AI; data changes are under Edit (Prices, Attributes, Categories, Catalog, VAT rate, Activate, Deactivate). The rest are under ⋯ (More).
- Fill in the action window.
- Where there is a preview, open and review it before confirming. Button labels depend on the action because some windows are in English (see the table below).
- Read the message after it runs. Large operations run in the background; track progress under Background tasks.
Available operations
AI has its own button, data changes are under Edit, and export, synchronization, photos, and listing are under ⋯.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Catalog | Assigns selected products to a catalog or removes them from it (How a product enters a catalog and what that means) |
| Prices | Sets or recalculates prices—see Bulk price changes |
| Attributes | Sets attribute values; append instead of replace is available only for text attributes (Entering attribute values — five ways) |
| Categories | Assigns categories to selected products (Assigning products to categories, including in bulk) |
| VAT rate | Sets VAT for a country or from a mapping group (VAT rates) |
| Queue synchronization | Sends products for stock synchronization, with a warehouse selection |
| AI | Extract attributes proposes values based on product data; Review suggestions opens bulk review (Review AI suggestions) |
| Import photos from marketplace | Downloads channel photos to the catalog |
| Activate / Deactivate | Changes the active status. Deactivation asks for confirmation first—the product stops being sold on channels |
| Export selected | Opens export with scope set to the selection |
| List on marketplace | Opens the listing wizard |
The synchronization-queue window is in English: Queue Sync to Marketplace, Select Warehouse, and Queue Sync. Without a warehouse selection, the button remains disabled.
Preview before saving
Categories, attributes, prices, and VAT have a preview step: before saving, you see products and values before and after. Review it—the bulk operation affects exactly the selected records, and “all matching” can be far more than what is visible on screen.
One catalog at a time
Category assignment requires selected products to come from one catalog—the catalog is read from the selection rather than chosen in the window. Categories belong to a catalog, so for a mixed selection the system would not know which category to assign. It refuses and asks you to narrow the selection. The same applies to products without a catalog: assign them to one first, then assign categories.
Listing requires an EAN
Marketplace listing considers only products with an EAN. If none of the selected products has one, the action reports this instead of creating an empty listing.
Long operations run in the background
A bulk price change on a large selection does not block the screen—the task runs in the background and you can track it in Background tasks (icon in the top bar). When it finishes, the list highlights changed rows and keeps the selection so you can see what was affected.
