Product list — inline editing and quick actions
Change the name, price, or attribute without opening the product card. Click the ID, SKU, or EAN text to copy it.
The product list is editable in place. You need to open the product card less often than you might think.
Categories in a row — step by step
Categories are the only item below that is edited in a separate window rather than a table cell.
- Hover over a row and click the pencil in the Categories column.
- The Product categories window opens. At the top is Assigned categories with a counter, then Add category.
- Enter part of a name or path in Search categories... and click a result below. The category is assigned immediately—there is no separate “add” action. Assigned items have a green check and cannot be selected again.
- If the list is empty, read the message: No categories found means nothing matches the search; Select a catalog first means the product has no catalog to choose from (How a product enters a catalog and what that means).
- The first category added immediately gets the Main marker. To make another one primary, click its Set as main icon (A product’s primary category).
- The trash icon (Remove) unassigns the category from the product. The category remains in the tree.
- Close the window with Close. There is no save button; each change is saved as soon as you click.
What you can edit without opening a product
| Item | How to open | Save |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Pencil shown when hovering over the row | Enter saves, Esc cancels |
| Price | Click the price marker | Enter / Esc |
| Attribute | Click the attribute cell | Enter / Esc |
| Categories | Pencil in the category column | Separate window |
| Active / inactive | Click the status dot | Immediately |
A formula-calculated price has a function icon and cannot be edited here—change the base price in its source group. A calculated attribute is also read-only.
If a language is selected, the name is saved to its translation; otherwise, it is saved to the product itself. A crossed-out globe icon means there is no translation in the selected language.
Copy with one click
ID, SKU, and EAN labels in the row are copy buttons—clicking one copies the value to the clipboard. In grouped view, they work in batches: 3 EANs and 3 SKUs copy every code in the group at once, separated by commas. It is the fastest way to get a list of codes into an email or spreadsheet.
The thumbnail opens the photo preview. The completeness ring opens a breakdown of missing information (Completeness indicator).
A category marker filters the list
Clicking a category marker in a row adds that category to the filters and reloads the list. Useful when looking for “more of the same,” but easy to confuse with opening the product: clicking the product name opens its card; clicking the marker beside it narrows the list.
Keys

They work only on the list tab. On a details tab, these letters are ordinary characters.
Selection: page versus entire result
Two neighboring icons do different things. The first selects the current page, the second selects everything matching the filter, including pages you have not seen. The counter beside them shows how many are actually selected; before any bulk action, this is the only number worth checking (Bulk actions on products).
