Sublinker — connect Subiekt through SubConnect

Sublinker is a program on a computer running Subiekt. It retrieves orders, documents, and returns from Noxti and sends stock levels back. It connects to Noxti through a SubConnect connection and needs two things from us: a key and a connection address. Noxti prepares both; you do not invent or type anything manually. Simply copy them into Sublinker.

Before you begin

• Sublinker is installed and running on the computer with Subiekt.
• The company has a symbol set; it is part of the connection address. Without it, you will see Company does not have a symbol yet instead of an address.
• The key is visible only to the company administrator or someone with permission to change integrations. Others see Only the integration administrator can view the key. A 2FA code is required to reveal it (2FA confirmation when changing permissions).

Step by step — “Connect Sublinker” wizard

The wizard opens in guided mode (Connection configuration — steps and key settings) and has four steps: Account, Warehouse, Key and address, Test.

1. Go to Integrations → Integrations, open Available integrations, and click the SubConnect tile. The Connect Sublinker window opens.
2. Account. Enter a Connection name and choose whether it should be Active immediately. Click Create connection. The connection and its technical account are created immediately (see technical accounts—the company administrator can help).
3. Warehouse. Select the warehouses from which Sublinker should see orders. Sublinker sees only orders, documents, and returns from the selected warehouses; the first selected one is the default. The company’s first active warehouse is selected initially. Click Next. Without a warehouse, Sublinker will see no orders. You can also add one later in the Orders stage.
4. Key and address. The wizard says Noxti has prepared the key and address.
   • The key is hidden. Click Show key; in the 2FA verification required window enter the Verification code and click Confirm. Then click Copy key. For a few minutes after confirmation, you can show it again without another code.
   • Copy the address with Copy address.
5. Open Sublinker on the computer running Subiekt and go to its connection settings:
   • paste the key into API token;
   • paste the address into API address;
   • save the settings in Sublinker.
6. Return to the wizard and click I pasted it; check the connection.
7. Test. The wizard waits for Sublinker’s first connection and checks every few seconds; you do not need to click anything. When you see Working! Sublinker connected to Noxti, click Done, go to settings.

You do not need to finish immediately: I’ll finish later closes the wizard and keeps the connection. You can always find the key and address in the connection settings, in the Connection stage.

On the connection page

The Connection stage has a Sublinker connection card:

• Key — hidden; use Show key (after a 2FA code) and Copy key. Treat it like a password; do not email it.
• Connection address — use Copy address. Sublinker sends all requests to this address, which belongs only to this connection.
• Paste both into Sublinker and Wait for the green status — the same steps as in the wizard.
• For your IT administrator — technical details to give the person installing Sublinker.

Below the card, Connection status indicates in one word whether the connection works. The collapsed What we check list shows what Sublinker needs; it expands automatically when something is wrong. Check again refreshes the status. Change Sublinker’s warehouses in the Orders stage.

What the connection status means

A new key or address

• Generate a new key only if the key has fallen into the wrong hands. Once confirmed, the current key stops working immediately, and Sublinker stops retrieving orders until you paste in the new key.
• Generate a new address in Advanced, under Change connection address. This is rarely needed, only if the address has been exposed. The current address stops working immediately; the key does not change. Paste the new address into Sublinker.
• Changing the company symbol also changes the connection address. Copy the new address and paste it into Sublinker afterward.

What you cannot do—and why

• Enter a key manually. Noxti creates the key, so there is nothing to mistype.
• Delete a SubConnect or BaseLinker connection. The connection and its technical account remain because Sublinker’s activity history refers to them. Turn off the connection to stop Sublinker.
• Repair the technical account from this screen. The account is created with the connection and maintained by the system. If the status says Technical account is not working, report it to the system administrator.

BaseLinker connection

Sublinker can also connect through a BaseLinker connection. As with SubConnect, it then sees only orders, documents, and returns from the selected warehouses. There are three differences from SubConnect:

• Noxti does not create the key — paste in your BaseLinker token.
• There is no dedicated connection address. Sublinker connects through Noxti’s shared BaseLinker address, and Noxti identifies the connection from the token alone. Therefore, use a token in only one connection; if the same token is used in two enabled connections, Noxti rejects both.
• There is no connection status (Working, Waiting for Sublinker, Not working). The Connection diagnostics section on the Advanced stage reports configuration problems.

1. In Available integrations, click the BaseLinker tile and create a connection. It is created immediately with its own technical account.
2. Select the warehouses Sublinker should use, either in the wizard or later on the connection page. The company’s first active warehouse is selected initially.
3. In the Connection stage, paste the BaseLinker token into BaseLinker access token and save the changes (2FA code required).
4. Open Sublinker and go to its connection settings:
   • enter https://<Noxti server>/base_methods_api/connector/ in API address (the alternative https://<Noxti server>/api/integrations/baselinker/connector/ also works);
   • paste the same BaseLinker token into API token;
   • save the settings in Sublinker.

<Noxti server> is the server at the beginning of your SubConnect connection address. If you do not know it, ask the system administrator.

You cannot repair the BaseLinker connection’s technical account from the screen either; report a problem to the system administrator. BaseLinker connections, like SubConnect connections, cannot be deleted; turn them off to stop them. Older BaseLinker connections created before connections received technical accounts do not have one; create a new connection to use BaseLinker.
