Amazon — how to connect it and what the connector does
The seller authorizes the app in their Amazon account. MFN orders arrive every few minutes with the full address, and the tracking number is sent back to Amazon after packing.
The Amazon connector uses the official Selling Partner API. It supports merchant-fulfilled orders (MFN), shipment confirmation, and MFN returns. It does not synchronize listings, prices, or stock; those are a separate stage.
Step by step
Connect a seller account
- Go to Integrations → Available integrations → Amazon → Add. Name the connection.
- In Security, leave the application fields empty (the application ID and secret are shared across the system). Set Seller Central host for your marketplace (for example,
sellercentral.amazon.pl) and Region (EU). - Click Authorize with Amazon. A Seller Central window opens. Sign in to the seller account and accept the permissions. After returning, the card says “OAuth connection authorized,” and the refresh token and selling partner id fields fill in automatically.
- Test the connection. The response lists marketplaces where the account has active participation.
- In Orders, set Marketplaces (DE and PL by default) and enable order import. The first pull goes back 14 days or to the date in Import orders updated after. Backlog orders arrive in batches, oldest first, a few hundred every few minutes; orders changed in the last 3 minutes arrive on the next pull. When setting up, enter a date close to launch day to avoid downloading a long history.
- Under External statuses → Fetch catalog, retrieve the statuses and map
Unshippedto a working status andCanceledto canceled (Marketplace order statuses — mapping in both directions).
Ship an order
- The order follows the regular warehouse workflow (Sales channel — integration, connection, and setting).
- After the parcel is sent, its tracking number and carrier are automatically sent to Amazon as shipment confirmation. Amazon recognizes its carrier codes—DPD, DHL, GLS, UPS, InPost, and others. An unknown carrier is sent as “Other” with its name. For custom mappings, use Carrier code mapping (carrier name or symbol in the system → Amazon code).
- Multiple parcels become multiple Amazon shipments, each with its own items. A parcel that has already been confirmed is not sent to Amazon again. If confirmation fails for one of several parcels, retry sends only the missing ones.
What you should know
- Buyer details are retrieved with a restricted token (RDT), as required by Amazon. An order without an address is not imported. If the import reports “missing address,” the app does not yet have Amazon’s permission to access personal data (PII role); it does not indicate a connection configuration error.
Pendingorders (payment not yet authorized) are skipped until their status changes. The Import pending orders switch allows them in.- FBA (fulfilled by Amazon) orders are not imported unless you set the fulfillment channel to
AFNorBOTH. These orders are not shipped from your warehouse, and the system never confirms shipment for them in Amazon. - Orders without items (Amazon did not return the lines during import) are not lost. They appear in Orders waiting for completeness review and are imported during the next review. The field clears automatically; clear it manually only if you want to abandon those orders.
- Amazon Business orders include the company name and buyer VAT number on the billing address.
- Line prices are gross, including VAT, in European marketplaces; seller-funded promotional discounts are included as line discounts. Product matching uses SKU—Amazon does not send an EAN.
- Cancellations and refunds are handled in Seller Central, not in the system. The order status change button does not send anything to Amazon; the “shipped” status comes from shipment confirmation.
- MFN returns are imported from the returns report every few hours (the Returns import schedule setting), with an RMA, reason, and return tracking number. Amazon handles FBA returns.
- Retention: buyer data from Amazon orders is removed 30 days after delivery. This is an Amazon requirement, independent of company settings.
