Sales channel — integration, connection, and setting
Three terms that are easy to confuse: an integration is a connector type, a connection is your marketplace account, and a setting is one parameter on that connection.
The integrations module uses three similarly named concepts. Distinguishing them prevents many misunderstandings.
| Term | What it is | Belongs to |
|---|---|---|
| Integration | Connector type—“Allegro,” “Kaufland,” “DHL” | Shared across the platform |
| Connection | Your specific account on that marketplace | Your company |
| Setting | One parameter on a connection | Per-connection value |
Step by step
Create a new channel connection
- Go to Integrations → Integrations. The screen opens on the My integrations tab, listing your existing connections (a count appears next to the tab name).
- Switch to Available integrations. This is the catalog of connector types, or integrations.
- Narrow the catalog using Search…, the Type filter (Marketplace, Delivery, Manual orders, Support / System, Warehouse, AI), and the Status filter (Active / Inactive).
- Click + Add on the tile for the integration you want.
- Enter a Name. This field is required; without it, the button stays disabled. Choose a name that distinguishes connections using the same integration (“Allegro PL,” “Allegro CZ”). There is also an Active switch.
- Click Create. Cancel exits without saving.
Configure a new connection
- After creation, the connection screen opens with a list of stages on the left. Stages are the same and appear in the same order for every integration: Connection, Orders, Stock and products, Prices, Shipping, Returns, and finally Advanced. Notifications, AI, and Payments appear between Returns and Advanced only where relevant.
- Start with Connection. Until credentials are saved, the other stages are locked and the screen says: “Further stages are locked until you complete the required credentials. Without a working connection, none of the other settings will work.”
- Fill in the fields and click Save changes in the bar that appears at the bottom with the Unsaved changes count. Entering a value alone unlocks nothing; instead, the message changes to “Save the credentials to unlock further stages.” The adjacent Discard button clears unsaved changes.
- Saving requires a 2FA code (see below).
- Test the configuration with Test in the header. A banner appears above the stages: Connection OK or Connection error, with the response time in milliseconds.
- A completed stage gets a badge in the list with the Stage ready tooltip. A stage that the integration does not support shows Not applicable to this integration; this is not an error.
Find a setting that is not visible in a stage
- Use the Search settings… field above the stage list; it searches all stages at once.
- Results show Settings found and group matches by stage. If some matches are behind the credentials gate, Hidden in locked stages appears with a count.
- No matches produces No settings match the phrase. If you are looking for a documented parameter that search does not know, the setting may have no saved value, as described below. Report it to the person responsible for the implementation.
Temporarily disable a connection
- Open the connection from My integrations.
- The unlabeled switch in the top-right corner of the header, next to Test, turns the connection on and off.
- The same unlabeled switch is in the top-right corner of the connection tile on the list. After switching it from the list, the system displays Operation completed successfully.
Integration = type
An integration is an item in the available connector catalog. It is shared by all companies on the platform and does nothing by itself; it is a template. Each integration has an object type: marketplace, carrier, warehouse/ERP, supporting service, or AI.
Connection = your account
A connection is what has API keys, a selected warehouse, and its full configuration. One company can have several connections using the same integration—for example, two Allegro accounts or Kaufland accounts in different countries. Each has its own settings, listings, and synchronization status.
A connection has an unlabeled activity switch in the header. Turning it off stops everything that runs through it (Switches that stop an entire channel).
Setting = one parameter
The set of settings depends on the integration. Each field has a name and description, and the form is tailored to the selected channel. That is why connections for different marketplaces have different fields.
Important behavior: a setting with no saved value for your connection is invisible to the system—it will not appear in the form and cannot be set. It is not hidden “just in case”; there is no setting available to enable.
If the documentation mentions a parameter that you cannot see, this is the case. Report it to the person responsible for the implementation.
Changing settings requires 2FA
Saving a connection’s configuration is a higher-risk operation and requires a code (2FA confirmation when changing permissions).
