Mappings — warehouses, carriers, price lists, categories
Each marketplace has its own names for things. Mappings translate them into yours—and one missing mapping can silently stop an entire channel.
Each marketplace uses its own names for warehouses, delivery methods, categories, and price lists. A mapping is a table that translates its concepts into yours.
Step by step — map a warehouse
This is the only mapping whose absence silently stops an entire channel. Set it up for every new connection.
- Go to Integrations → Integrations → My integrations and open the connection.
- Open the Stock and products stage. The warehouse card is first. With no configuration, it displays “No warehouses mapped. Add a warehouse to configure stock synchronization and order fulfillment.”
- Click Add mapping in the card header. If the button is disabled, all warehouses are already mapped.
- In Add warehouse, select one or more warehouses (Select warehouses...) and click Add.
- Click the pencil icon on the added row. The Edit mapping window opens with the warehouse name in the title.
- Under Stock sent to marketplace, turn on Include this warehouse in stock sent. Without this switch, the channel is skipped when stock is published.
- Under Calculate quantity from, select the quantity source.
- If orders should be fulfilled from this warehouse, turn on Fulfill orders from this warehouse under Order fulfillment and set Fulfillment priority. The lowest number is tried first.
- Close the window with Done.
- Return to the card and click Save mapping. Nothing is saved until you do this.
- Check that the row has a Sends stock badge. Does not send stock means step 6 was not enabled.
Four mappings on a connection
| Mapping | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Warehouses | Which of your warehouses to use for stock on this channel |
| Delivery methods | Which carrier corresponds to each marketplace delivery method |
| Price lists | Which external price list corresponds to each price group |
| Order statuses | Covered separately: Marketplace order statuses — mapping in both directions |
Category mapping is separate and outside the connection configuration: Advanced → Category mapping in the menu.
Warehouse mapping is critical
This is the most common silent failure in the entire module:
If there is no active warehouse mapping with stock synchronization enabled, the channel is simply skipped when stock is published—with no error, warning, or entry on any screen.
It looks like a synchronization failure: stock “isn’t going out,” the queue is empty, and nothing happens. Before looking elsewhere, check this mapping (Synchronization is not working — checklist).
Carrier mapping
This specifies which carrier to use for each marketplace delivery method. Without it, orders arrive but you cannot choose a label during packing.
It is in the Shipping stage of the connection configuration, in the collapsible Carrier mapping section. Full instructions: Delivery-method mapping and shipment validation.
Some channels also require allowed tracking methods. In the mapping window, these are the Delivery tracking and Return tracking fields.
Price list mapping
It connects an external price list to one of your price groups. Without it, there is nowhere to send prices. This mainly applies to ERP integrations, but some marketplaces use it too.
Category mapping
It links a category in your catalog to a marketplace category. It is required when creating new listings; existing listings that are already linked work without it.
Category catalogs can be downloaded from some marketplaces; the others require manual entry.
Remember
A missing mapping rarely produces an error; most often it produces silence. When setting up a new connection, review all four mapping tables before considering the configuration complete.
