Information, warning, free gift, and leaflet on the packing list
Custom text from an automation as the last item in the goods list, with no scanning or confirmation required.
Information items appear at the end of the goods list in the WMS2 kiosk. Each has text you enter, a color, an icon, and a type label.
| Action type | Appearance | Example text |
|---|---|---|
| Information | Blue, “i” icon | Order for a regular customer |
| Warning | Amber, triangle with exclamation mark | Protect the glass with extra film |
| Free gift | Green, gift | Add a cream sample |
| Leaflet / insert | Purple, document | Add a leaflet for the new collection |
How to set up the action
- Open Tools → Automation → Rules and add or edit an order rule—see Create and organize rules.
- Choose the trigger and conditions that determine which orders get the entry. If it must be visible from the first basket scan, choose an event that occurs before packing, such as an order status change.
- Add the Add information item to packing action.
- Select the Item type and enter the Item text—up to 500 characters. You can enter several lines. This is plain text, without HTML formatting.
- Save the rule. Later actions can add other entries with different types.
If no type is selected, the entry is labeled Insert. Running the action again with identical text does not create a duplicate in the same order. If a later action supplies the same text with a different type, it changes the color, icon, and label of the existing entry.
What the packer does
Read the entry and follow its instructions. The system does not require a scan, click, or confirmation for any of the four types, including a warning. The row does not increase the Remaining counter and is not included in the parcel contents, stock, or documents. Packing ends according to the usual rules.
The entry remains visible after all goods are scanned. It returns with the session after a page refresh. In a batch basket it applies only to the currently selected order and disappears from the screen when that order is completed.
When the text appears
Automation runs in the background. After the action runs, the entry is fetched when you open the order, scan, or refresh the session. A rule triggered only by Packing started may run after the screen has already opened; in that case, you will see the entry on the next scan or refresh, once the action has run.
Disabling a rule does not remove entries already saved. Changing the text in a rule affects future runs and does not rewrite earlier text.
