Location list — filters, bulk actions, and contents preview
Filters are saved in the URL, so you can share a view with a colleague. You cannot expand a shelf’s contents from this list—that is what the Browser is for.
Settings → Warehouse → Locations.
Step by step
The list is under Configuration → Settings → Warehouse → Locations. Above the table is a Search... field; on the right side of the bar are four unlabeled buttons: Columns, Import, Export, and +. Their names appear in tooltips (the + says “Add location”). Creating locations is described in Creating locations — individually, in batches, or as carts.
Narrow the list
- In the filter row below the bar, choose Zone, Type, Warehouse, or Access type. Each field accepts several values at once; an empty field is labeled All.
- Activity has three options: All, Active, and Inactive. Check has All, Needs review, and OK.
- Enter part of a code in Search....
- Copy the page URL. Filters, sorting, and the page number are in the URL, so the recipient opens exactly the same view.
Every filter change clears selected rows. This is intentional, so a bulk action cannot affect a row that is no longer visible.
Change the column set with the Columns icon. By default, you see #, Code, Type, Access type, Zone, Warehouse, Position, Quantity, SKU, System, and Needs review. You can add Active, Last inventory count, and Created.
Change properties for several locations at once
- Select rows with their checkboxes. A Selected: N badge and Clear selection button appear above the table.
- Press Bulk actions. Under Change properties are Change type, Change warehouse, Change access type, Change zone, and Change capacity profile.
- Selecting an action opens Bulk edit locations, labeled Editing {count} locations, with one selection field—for example, Choose a new zone.
- Capacity profile also has a Detach capacity profile from selected locations switch. When enabled, it disables the profile list and clears the assignment.
- Press Update.
Success: Updated {count} locations—the list refreshes and the selection clears. Refusal: a message from the server, or Could not update locations if the server provides none. Closing the window (Cancel, Esc, or clicking outside) clears entered values so they do not carry into the next operation.
Change position
- Select rows, then choose Bulk actions → Position management → Change position.
- Enter a number in Position change. The hint says: Positive moves down; negative moves up.
- Press Update.
For one row, arrows are more convenient: enable Show position controls in the row below the filters. A Move column appears with four unlabeled buttons: Move up one, Move down one, Move up a step, and Move down a step. Success is confirmed by Location moved; failure by Could not move location. → Warehouse traversal order
Delete selected locations
- Select rows.
- Choose Bulk actions → Danger Zone → Delete selected (the item is labeled This action cannot be undone).
- In the Delete selected window, read Are you sure you want to delete the selected locations? and press Delete.
Success: Deleted {count} locations. If any selected shelf contains goods, none are deleted—the server rejects the entire batch and lists the codes: Cannot delete locations with products: …. → Disable locations instead of deleting them
Recalculate stock
- One location—the refresh icon in the actions column (tooltip Recalculate). Confirmation: Recalculation started for location #{id}.
- All locations—the Recalculate all locations button in the row below the filters. The confirmation dialog warns: Recalculating stock for all locations may take a few minutes. The operation will run in the background. After you press Recalculate, you get Recalculation of all locations started in the background.
If the job does not start: Could not start recalculation.
Check what is on a shelf
There is no expandable row on this list. To inspect a specific shelf, go to Reports → Warehouse → Location Browser:
- Find the location (filters Warehouse, Zone, Type, and Stock status with All / With stock / Without stock, or use search).
- Click the row.
- The Contents tab shows products; Movement history shows movements for that shelf. Both tabs show a count beside the name.
Export
The Export icon on the settings list immediately returns a Locations.csv file with the header Code,LP,Zone,Type,AccessType—there is no options window. Confirmation: Download completed; failure: Could not download file. It uses the same column layout accepted by import (Creating locations — individually, in batches, or as carts).
The Export icon in the Location Browser behaves differently. It opens an Export dialog with What to export?, Layout, Format, and Columns sections, ending with a Generate button.
Filters
Zone, Type, Warehouse, Access type (multi-select), Activity (All / Active / Inactive), Check (All / Needs review / OK), and search.
All are saved in the page URL, so you can send someone a link to the filtered view. Changing a filter clears the selection so bulk actions do not affect rows that are no longer visible.
The Location Browser also has a stock filter: with goods / without goods.
Columns
#, Code, Type, Access type, Zone, Warehouse, Position, Quantity, SKU, System, Needs review, Active.
Quantity and SKU come from the stock cache—Locations — code, warehouse, and structure.
A rack shows only its own stock, while goods are on pallets standing in it. In that case, under Quantity and SKU there is a gray +N on carriers note—the same as in the Location Browser.
Contents preview
You cannot inspect shelf contents in this list. The product-fetching code and expansion template exist, but the expand column is never rendered. Use the Location Browser as described above.
If expansion worked, it would show Name, EAN, SKU, Quantity, and In queue. This is mentioned only because you will find the same columns in the Browser.
The In queue column matters before deletion—it shows whether there is an open task at the shelf: Disable locations instead of deleting them.
Bulk actions
After selecting rows:
- Change location type / warehouse / access type / zone
- Change capacity profile, with a separate detach profile from selected switch
- Change position—Warehouse traversal order
- Delete selected—in the Danger Zone section
Recalculating stock
Recalculate all locations rebuilds the stock cache from the movement ledger. The warning states that it will take a few minutes and run in the background. The same action is available for one location in its row.
Use it when the Quantity column does not match what you see on the shelf—after an outage, a manual data repair, or an import.
Import and export
Import accepts .csv, .xlsx, and .xls. List export returns Code, Type, Zone, Warehouse, Products, and Quantity columns; Active and Needs review can optionally be included and are off by default.
The exchange format for locations alone is described in Creating locations — individually, in batches, or as carts.
Read-only screens
Location Browser (dashboards)—tiles for All, With stock, Active, and Needs review; a button on each row to raise or clear the review flag; and, when you open a row, the shelf's stock and movement history. By product shows the contents of all shelves at once, with each product on each shelf as a separate row, including in exports (Reports — map of all dashboards).
Goods are always recorded on a carrier (pallet, carton), not on the rack where the carrier stands. That is why a rack's own Quantity is 0. Below the number, the Browser then adds a gray +70 on carriers line (under Products, the number of distinct products on the carriers). To see the goods themselves, search for the pallet or open it.
Warehouse locations—analytics: activity distribution, dead-stock alerts, breakdowns by zone and type, and filters for code ranges and patterns (*, ?).
