Warehouse traversal order
The Position field determines the picker’s route. The priority configurator calculates positions in bulk using warehouse → zone → type → access type order.
The order in which a picker traverses the warehouse is determined by Position. Lists are sorted by it, with the location code used only to break ties.
Step by step — adjust individual shelves
- Go to Configuration → Settings → Warehouse → Locations.
- Sort the list by Position — otherwise you cannot see what you are moving or what you are moving it relative to.
- Turn on Show position controls above the list. A new Move column with four arrows appears in the table.
- Use the arrows in a row: a single up/down arrow moves by 1 (Move one up / Move one down); a double arrow moves by a step, 5 by default (Move one step up / Move one step down).
- Every click is saved immediately — confirmation says Location moved. There is no “save” button and no undo; use the arrow in the opposite direction to reverse the move.
Step by step — move a whole batch
- On the same list, use filters to narrow down what you want to move. Changing a filter clears the selection, so filter first.
- Select rows with the checkboxes. Selected: N appears above the table.
- Open Bulk actions and select Move position under Position management.
- In the Bulk edit locations dialog, enter a number in Position change. The value is relative — the hint says Positive moves down, negative moves up.
- Press Update. Result: Updated N locations. Position never goes below zero.
Step by step — renumber an entire warehouse with the configurator
- On the locations list, press Configure priorities. The Priority configurator wizard opens with four steps. Move through them using Next (Previous goes back).
- Step 1: Select warehouse — choose the warehouse whose priorities you are setting.
- Step 2: Set zone order — drag zones into traversal order. Priority N beside each item shows its current place in the sequence.
- Step 3: Set type order — do the same for location types.
- Step 4: Set access type order — repeat for access types.
- Check the Configuration summary — it lists the selected warehouse and the chosen order for zones, types, and access types.
- Press Apply configuration. The button changes to Processing..., and cards appear above: Preparing task..., then Processing hierarchy with a progress bar.
- Wait for the green Hierarchy Applied Successfully! message (this one is not translated). Red Failed to apply hierarchy means nothing changed — the reason appears below it.
The operation runs in the background, so you do not need to wait beside it. A large warehouse may take several minutes.
The configurator overwrites every position. Earlier manual adjustments disappear. If you have a few manually set exceptions in the warehouse, record them before you start.
When this matters
Position controls the picking route and the order in which the terminal guides an operator from shelf to shelf. It also affects replenishment, where a scenario can sort by position, code, or product index.
