Selecting a queue on the picker
The tile in the top bar pins you to one queue. It is released automatically when you finish it.
Normally, the system decides which queue to give you work from. The queue tile lets you take control: choose one queue and pick only from it.
If you do not see the button, the permission has not been enabled for your role yet — the feature is available, but each role must be granted access separately. Ask your manager.
Where it is
The tile is in the top bar, beside the mode name. It shows:
- the name of the queue you are pinned to, with its priority stars;
- or a queue name with “current” underneath — this tells you where the work you are seeing comes from, even though you did not select anything;
- or “All” when there is nothing to pick.
How to select one
Tap the tile. A list of queues slides up from the bottom. Each row shows:
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| stars on the left | queue priority — the most important queues are at the top |
number on the right and ord. | how many orders remain in the queue |
number on the right and items | one order remains, so the counter shows items |
| gray row that cannot be clicked | you are carrying goods from a queue of another type — drop them off first |
Tap a row; from then on, you receive work only from that queue. To return to normal operation, tap the tile again and choose “All queues” — the first row in the list.
The choice is yours and does not block the queue for anyone else — other people can keep working on it.
The queue is released automatically
You do not need to deselect it at the end. The pin disappears automatically when:
- the queue is finished — you will see a yellow bar saying “Queue … finished — all queues again,” and then pick as usual;
- the queue is disabled or assigned to someone else;
- you log out — the next shift starts without a pin.
This is not an error, and nothing is lost. Picked goods you are already carrying are handled and dropped off as usual.
The tile is not visible
The tile appears only if your role has the “Warehouse > Picking > Queue selection” permission. If you do not see it, ask your manager — it is one checkbox in the role settings under exactly that name. Without the permission, everything continues as before: the system assigns work for you.
The tile is also absent when picking to a cart — the cart itself determines the queue.
The queue is shown in sorting and packing, but cannot be changed there
The top bar during sorting and packing shows queue: <name>. During sorting, this is the queue of the unit you are holding; during packing, it is the queue of the order on the station. When picking to a cart, it similarly shows the queue reserved by the cart.
This is informational only: you cannot tap the text, and it requires no permission. You select a queue only using the tile during picking.
During sorting, the text appears when you scan the first product and stays until you change sorting location or pick up a product from outside the queue — after putting the unit down, you continue working in the same queue, so the text does not disappear.
During packing, the text is absent when you pack an entire container of multiple orders at once — that run does not belong to a single queue. It is also absent after refreshing the page while the container still has more than one order to pack; when packing the last order, the container stops being a multi-order run, and after a refresh (or scanning the container again) its queue is shown.
