Expanded picking view — what to take from the next shelf
While you are on the way, the handheld shows what to take from the shelf you are heading to. At the shelf, it shows which shelf comes next.
What you see
The expanded view adds two things to the picking screen:
- On the way to a shelf. Under the “Current → Next” tiles, there is a “Take from <shelf>:” list with an image, name, EAN, and quantity for each product on that shelf.
- At a shelf, when you have something to pick there. Above the product list is a line: “Next shelf <code> · N units.”
This is only a preview. You still need to scan the shelf and products.
How to enable it
There are two toggles. Either one is enough.
- For the whole company: Settings → Warehouse → Queues – general settings → Picking screen appearance card → “Expanded picking view (whole company).” It takes effect immediately for all queues, including existing ones.
- For a scenario: Settings → Warehouse → Automatic queue creation → edit the scenario → “Expanded picking view.” A scenario with this toggle enabled has a matching label in the list. It applies only to queues created after it was enabled (such as “Multiple packers (B2B)”).
| Whole company | Queue scenario | Expanded view |
|---|---|---|
| on | any | yes, in all queues |
| off | on | yes, in queues from that scenario |
| off | off | no — the screen stays as before |
When picking from several queues at once, the view is enabled if at least one of them has the toggle on.
Cart picking
The view works the same way with a cart. The “Take from <shelf>:” list shows only goods for orders that fit on the cart’s free shelves. When an order is already on a cart shelf, an arrow and that shelf’s code appear next to the product, for example “→ PW-3”. A new order gets a shelf only on its first scan, so no shelf is shown for it before then.
