Notifications — the bell, email, and “Do not disturb” mode
A master switch, a separate email toggle, temporary muting, and twenty types to enable or disable individually. Turning everything off does not stop SMS messages to customers.
The Notifications tab controls what goes to your notification bell and inbox.
Step by step
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner, choose My profile, then open Notifications.
- Choose whether to turn off the All notifications master switch. When off, it stops the bell, emails, and internal SMS — but not the AI chat or SMS messages to customers.
- If you only want to stop emails, leave the master switch on and disable Email for me (for supported types). Notifications will remain in the bell.
- To mute notifications temporarily, use a button in Do not disturb mode: 1h, 4h, Until end of day, or 24h. The status below the heading shows Not muted, Muted until…, or Expired — not muted.
- To unmute earlier, click Turn off mute.
- Under Notification types, disable individual types in the Account and security, Issues, Synchronization, Catalog — export/import, Email/SMS — monitoring, and Other groups.
- Under Automatic cleanup, choose how many days to keep read notifications. 0 = never, and unread notifications always remain.
- Click Save at the top of the tab. Without this, all the changes above are lost when you leave. Preferences saved confirms.
Four levels of control
1. All notifications — master switch
Turning it off stops the bell, emails, and internal SMS.
What it does not stop: AI chat and SMS messages to customers. These are separate channels managed in company configuration — your account switch does not affect them. Keep this in mind before turning everything off “just in case” and assuming customers have stopped receiving messages.
2. Email for me (for supported types)
On by default. Turning it off means notifications stay in the bell, but email copies are not sent. This is usually what you want if your inbox is filling up while the system should continue to work.
3. “Do not disturb” mode
Temporary muting with four preset durations: 1h, 4h, Until end of day, and 24h. The status below the heading shows Not muted, Muted until…, or Expired — not muted.
Mute expires automatically, so you do not have to remember to undo it. Turn off mute clears it earlier.
4. Notification types
Twenty types in six groups:
| Group | Types |
|---|---|
| Account and security | new user in the company, failed login attempts, account locked |
| Issues | new, assigned to me, escalated, resolved, updated |
| Synchronization | error, stuck, completed, no data |
| Catalog — export/import | export complete, import complete, import error |
| Email/SMS — monitoring | bounce rate increase, account auto-paused, SSL expires |
| Other | order update, system notifications |
Subscriptions to individual issues and individual synchronizations — enabled from a specific issue or marketplace — work independently of these switches. Turning off “Issue update” will not unsubscribe you from an issue you subscribed to yourself.
Account and security — who gets what
Noxti sends these notifications itself, to the bell and by email from notifications@noxti.com, in the language set in your profile (Polish, English, or German). Do not reply to the email — if something looks wrong, contact us at hello@noxti.com (also shown in every email footer).
- New user in the company — company administrators receive this when someone is added. The person who added the user does not. The new user receives a welcome email, “Welcome to Noxti — {company},” with a login, a 14-character temporary password, and a Log in button. Noxti, not the administrator, generated the password, and the user must set a personal password on first login. Someone who already has a Noxti account and is added to another company does not receive another password email — they use their existing password.
- Failed login attempts — when a series of failed logins targets your account (5 by default), you receive a warning with the location of the last attempt (city and country, and the IP address if known). Company administrators receive a copy. The warning is sent once per series — further attempts within 30 minutes do not flood your inbox.
- Account locked — after more failed attempts (10 by default), the account is locked for 30 minutes. You and the administrators are notified; they can unlock it earlier.
If the login attempts were not yours, change your password and enable two-step verification (2FA).
You can turn off these three types with switches in Account and security. They are also stopped by the System notifications switch under Other, the master switch, and Do not disturb — then neither the notification nor the email arrives. Turning off Email for me leaves the notification in the bell and stops only the email.
Automatic cleanup
Choose how many days to keep read notifications. 0 = never.
Unread notifications always remain, regardless of this value — nothing disappears before you see it.
Saving
One Save button at the top saves everything. Without it, your changes are lost when you leave the tab.
