Sender address — which address appears on the label
Three levels with clear precedence: warehouse, then branch, and finally the company’s registered address. The same rule applies to contact details.
A company with one warehouse has a simple case. A company with three branches does not. That is why the sender address is resolved as a fallback chain.
Step by step: set the sender address
- Decide which level to use; the order below determines which one wins.
- Warehouse address: go to Configuration → Team and access → My companies. In the Warehouses table, click the pencil by the warehouse. In Edit warehouse, open Address and enter contact details on Contact (Email, Phone, Contact person). Click Save.
- Branch address: on the same screen, click the pencil in the branches table. In Edit branch, fill in Address and Contact, then click Save.
- Company registered address: go to Settings → Company details → Company details, click Edit, and fill in Registered address and Contacts. Click Save; if the 2FA code window appears, enter the code (2FA confirmation when changing permissions).
- Default sender details and parcel settings: Settings → Company details → Sender details, click Edit, then Save.
- Check the first generated label. The fallback chain uses the first level that has a value, not the one you edited most recently.
Precedence
- Warehouse address — used if set.
- Branch address — used if the warehouse has none.
- Company registered address — last resort.
The same fallback chain applies separately to sender contact details: name, phone, and email.
In practice, the address and contact details can come from different levels. A warehouse with its own address but no phone number uses its address, and the branch's phone number.
Where to configure it
- Warehouse and branch addresses — on the Companies, branches, and warehouses screen (Companies, branches, and warehouses — structure).
- Company registered address — Settings → Company details → Company details, in Registered address (Company details — profile, identifiers, bank, compliance, and logo).
- Default sender details and parcel settings — Settings → Company details → Sender details.
If parcels show the wrong sender address
Check from the top of the chain:
- Does the warehouse handling the parcel have an address? If so, that is the source.
- If not, does its branch have an address?
- If not, the label uses the company's registered address.
The most common surprise: the warehouse has an address no one remembers entering, and it overrides the correct company address.
Why this matters to the carrier
The sender address goes on the label and into the carrier's system. Returns and undelivered parcels go to this address, not to the company address on the invoice.
If a branch has closed, check its address before parcels start returning to an empty building.
