Replenishment — terminal messages
What each red screen in Replenishment means and what to do next. The “Network error” message requires you to check the counter before scanning again.
Step by step
What to do when a red screen appears
- Stop. Do not scan again immediately.
- Read the banner’s second line; that contains the instruction.
- An incorrect scan (Wrong product, No such goods, No such location, Unknown code, This shelf has no task for you) did not save anything. Put down what you are holding and scan what the banner requests.
- Scan a shelf first — you have picked a product but not chosen a destination. Scan the destination shelf, then the product.
- This product has destination CODE. Put it there. Take the unit to that code; do not try to put it here.
- Nothing on the cart matches this shelf — the shelf you scanned is not a destination for anything on your cart. Scan a destination shelf for one of your tasks. If you are carrying the remainder of an item you have already partly put away, the terminal accepts any shelf in the task zone and offers a split; this message will not appear.
- Shelf under stocktake — leave it until counting is finished. Take another task.
- Scan location — company or replenishment-scenario rules require a physical scan. Go to the shelf and scan its code; touch confirmation will not work.
- Cart is not empty — remove products from another process and start again.
- First empty cart of self-picks — press Put away to shelves (N) and put away goods taken with I’ll take it myself. Then you can enter a session.
- Task changed or No tasks to pick — someone got there first. The list has refreshed; choose a task again.
- Different batch at this location — put away on another shelf. The shelf already has a different batch of the same product and the warehouse does not allow mixing. Nothing was saved; the goods are still on the cart. The banner below says which batch is on the shelf (for example, Batch P-12 · Expiry date: 2027-10-01). Scan another shelf.
- This product is already on the cart from another task type — put that away first. You are carrying the same product from a task with a batch, while this task has no batch, or vice versa. Nothing was saved. Put away the other task’s units first.
- Network error — state refreshed — the last operation was not confirmed. Check the counter on screen first, then decide whether to scan again. A blind retry would count the unit twice.
The shelf is empty but the task says to pick
- Press Out of stock?
- The Empty shelf — report a shortage? window opens. If you already have units from this shelf on the cart, it says Put {n} units back on shelf {shelf}.
- Read the warning: The shelf will be flagged for checking and temporarily excluded as a replenishment source.
- Add a Note (optional) if needed.
- Press Report shortage. Confirmation: Shortage reported — shelf needs checking.
- Is the goods actually there, but in a different quantity? Press Request count instead. Confirmation: Shelf flagged for checking. If you are carrying units, the terminal says Put away or finish the units on your cart first.
Incorrect scans
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Wrong product — Expected: PRODUCT. Put it away and scan the right one. | You picked the wrong item |
| No such goods — This is a location, not a product. | You scanned a shelf code instead of a product |
| No such location — This is a product, not a location. | The reverse |
| Session code not recognized | Scan the session code or choose a task from the list |
| Unknown code | The code does not belong to this company or does not exist |
| This shelf has no task for you | The shelf is valid but is not part of your tasks |
Putting goods away
- This product is not on the cart.
- This product has destination CODE. Put it there.
- Nothing on the cart matches this shelf.
- Scan a shelf first — you are carrying a product but have not chosen a location yet.
- Different batch at this location — put away on another shelf. The shelf contains a different batch of the product (the banner names it below the message). Nothing was posted; the units are still on the cart. Scan another shelf. A batch task shows Batch P-… and its expiry date on the card.
Cart
- Cart is not empty — Remove other products from the cart before starting. The operator cart is shared across terminal modes; replenishment will not start while you carry goods from another process.
- First empty cart of self-picks — units taken with I’ll take it myself are still on your cart.
- This product is already on the cart from another task type — put that away first. A product with a batch and the same product without a batch cannot be carried together. Put away the other task’s units, then return to this one.
Blocks
- Shelf under stocktake — the location is being counted. Details: No stock on the shelf during replenishment.
- Scan location — Your work rules require a physical shelf scan. Touch confirmation is off; go to the shelf and scan its code. The company sets this rule, and a replenishment scenario can override it; see Replenishment settings — thresholds, ABC classes, and scanner policy.
Race conditions
- Task changed — someone worked on it in the meantime. The list has refreshed.
- No tasks to pick — someone just completed them.
- Network error — state refreshed.
Read the last message carefully: the last operation was not confirmed. Check the counter before scanning again; a blind retry counts the unit twice.
