Tools — section map
Issues, automation, AI assistant, and HR. Four modules that belong neither to sales nor to the warehouse.
Step by step
Open one of the four modules
- In the side menu, find the Tools heading. It contains three items and one group: Issues, Automation, AI assistant, and the HR group (Employees, Schedules, Leave, Reports).
- Note the names. The issue module is called Issues in the menu, and the rules module is called Automation. They are the same things people call “tickets” and “workflows” in conversation.
- Each item has its own permission, so a role without access to any of these modules will not see anything here (Role — what it is and how permissions are calculated).
Ask the assistant without leaving the screen you are on
- Click the assistant icon in the top bar — its tooltip says Assistant.
- The conversation panel slides out from the side. Your current screen remains open.
- While the assistant is working, the tooltip changes to Assistant is working.... If it responds while the panel is closed, a green dot appears on the icon and the tooltip says Assistant replied.
- The full-screen module is separate, in the menu under Tools → AI assistant.
Check why a rule did not run
- The rule itself is under Tools → Automation.
- Execution history is not there. The log moved to Advanced (the second-to-last menu item) → Automation logs (Menu map).
- HR events that may have triggered the rule are next to it under Event log.
- If a rule action failed, it should have created an item in the Issues list — check there first (Where issues come from and how they close automatically).
| Module (menu name) | About | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| Issues | Automatically created alerts that require a decision | Issues — what they are and what they are not |
| Automation | Rules that work for you | Automations — WHEN, IF, THEN |
| AI assistant | Questions about data and how to use the system | AI Assistant — what it can do and where it gets its answers |
| HR | Employees, Schedules, Leave, Reports | HR and time tracking — what the module includes |
How they connect
These four modules work together more often than you might expect:
- Automation creates an issue when an action fails. This is the most common source of items in the Issues list (Where issues come from and how they close automatically).
- A loop of rules also ends with an issue (Automation pitfalls).
- The assistant can explain rules if you have permission for settings (Assistant limitations and common misunderstandings).
- HR and warehouse events trigger rules (Events — what starts a rule).
Three things to know right away
- You do not create issues manually — they are system alerts, not a helpdesk (Issues — what they are and what they are not).
- Automation has no test mode — a saved, enabled rule runs on real data (Create and organize rules).
- The assistant sees what your role allows — two people can get different answers (AI Assistant — what it can do and where it gets its answers).
