Booking a courier pickup
The WMS can book a courier automatically — when enough parcels are waiting or at a set time on selected days — or when someone clicks a button.
Configure courier pickup on the courier account: Integrations → courier account → Shipping.
Manually
The Courier pickup booking card shows how many parcels with labels are waiting for a courier. Book courier now books a pickup immediately for all of them.
Automatically
On the same card, choose a booking method:
- Manual — the default. The WMS will not book anything automatically.
- When enough parcels are waiting — the WMS books a courier once per pickup day when at least the number of parcels entered in Book when this many parcels are waiting at one warehouse. Each warehouse is counted separately because each gets its own pickup.
- At a time on selected days — the WMS books a courier once a day, at the time in Book at.
Both automatic modes run only on the days selected under On these days. If no day is selected, the WMS does not book a pickup automatically.
Pickup from and Pickup until define the window in which the courier may arrive. Once the window closes, the WMS will not book a pickup automatically that day. A manual booking after the window closes is scheduled for the next selected weekday. Save changes with the page’s settings-save button, like any other account setting.
Both modes book at most once a day per pickup location: the warehouse address the parcels leave from, or the company address if the warehouse does not have its own.
What counts as a parcel waiting
A parcel with a label from the last three pickup days (a Friday label is still waiting on Monday) that the courier has not picked up and for which no pickup has been booked. A parcel counts as picked up if it has a departure scan or a courier status of “departed warehouse” or later. One parcel is never included in two bookings. A courier booking that did not arrive releases the parcels the day after the pickup day.
Parcels from different pickup locations are booked separately, each for its own address. InPost collects only courier shipments; DHL collects only DHL24 courier shipments. You must take parcels to lockers and pickup points yourself.
A parcel from a wholesaler’s warehouse on an order whose remaining items you ship yourself (for example, a partial shipment from Signal, Signal — a furniture wholesaler that ships with your carrier) does not count: it is excluded from courier bookings — manual and automatic — and from the waiting parcel count. Arrange pickup from the wholesaler outside the system. An order shipped entirely from a wholesaler’s warehouse counts like any other order, according to the account settings.
If a courier has already been booked for this location today, the button asks whether you want to book a second one.
History and errors
Below the button is a list of recent bookings: day, times, parcel count, method, and the courier’s booking number. If the courier refuses, you will see the reason, and the parcels return to the waiting list. After a refusal, the WMS waits 30 minutes before trying automatically again.
If the courier did not respond (timeout or disconnected connection), the row says No response — check with carrier. These parcels are not included in another booking because the courier may already have accepted them. Check with the carrier and click Courier will arrive on the row (you can enter the booking number) or Not booked — the parcels will then return to the waiting list.
Today, the WMS can book pickups for DPD, DHL, and InPost. For other couriers, the card says to book on the carrier’s website.
