Courier list — carrier directory
A directory of carrier names, colors, and shipment-number patterns. A courier can be global or assigned to a specific integration.
Integrations → Couriers is the carrier directory — names, symbols, and supporting attributes. Do not confuse it with a courier connection, which stores API keys and configuration (Connecting a carrier — the connection and its configuration).
Step by step — change the color and number patterns
These are the only two things you can actually change on this screen. The name and symbol are read-only — the server will not accept changes to them, even if the form lets you type them.
- Go to Integrations → Couriers.
- Find the carrier — the search above the table searches by name and symbol.
- Click the edit icon in its row. The Edit courier dialog opens.
- In HEX color code, enter a color in
#RRGGBBformat or use the color picker beside it. Any other format gives the message Must be a valid HEX color (e.g. #FF0000). - In Regular expressions (one per line), enter shipment-number patterns, one per row. You can limit a pattern to a warehouse by writing it as
WAREHOUSE: pattern. - Before saving, test the patterns: paste a real shipment number in Test tracking number. Below it you will see Pattern matches! or Pattern does not match.
- Click Update. Courier updated confirms the change.
Patterns are checked on the server — an invalid expression is rejected and the save fails.
Watch out for the “Add courier” button. The dialog opens and accepts a name and symbol, but the server treats both fields as read-only and saves a courier without a name or symbol. Trying this a second time results in an error. Ask the person managing your deployment to add a new carrier to the directory; do not create it from this screen.
Columns
| Column | Purpose |
|---|---|
| ID | Record number |
| Name | What appears on an order and in filters |
| Symbol | Short code |
| Integration | The integration it belongs to — or Global |
| Color | Hexadecimal color of the interface marker |
| Number patterns | Expressions that recognize this carrier’s shipment numbers |
You can sort by ID, name, and symbol. The other columns cannot be sorted.
Global versus assigned to an integration
- Global — available regardless of connections. Most entries are like this.
- Assigned to integration — linked to a specific courier connector.
This list is not limited to your company. You will see carriers you have never used, which is normal — it is just a directory of names, without any shipments (Tracking permissions — the trap of two separate grants).
Shipment-number patterns
Expressions used to recognize which carrier a given number belongs to. They let the system identify the courier from the number alone, without someone selecting it manually.
Enter one pattern per line. Patterns are validated when saved — an invalid expression is rejected with a message identifying it. You cannot save a pattern that would fail during operation.
Color
A hexadecimal code in #RRGGBB format. The form accepts no other format. Color is used only to distinguish carriers visually in lists.
Actions
Edit (pencil icon) and delete (trash icon) in each row, plus an Add courier button above the table — see the warning about it above. The whole screen is protected by the Integrations permission.
When deleting a courier, remember that it is used in delivery-method mappings (Delivery-method mapping and shipment validation) — deleting it will leave a gap in those mappings.
