Operator — counting step by step
Scan the location, scan products, finish. Plus six situations that look like failures but are expected behavior.
- Scan the location. The system shows its contents—or hides the numbers if blind mode is on. In that case, you will see only the message “blind mode — no hints.”
- Scan the products one by one. Each scan adds 1, or +N when the scanner provides a quantity.
- Do not skip anything. Scan products that are not on the list too; they get a NOT ON LIST marker and are sent to the office as findings.
- Finished? Press Finish.
The shelf’s stock level is retrieved when the task starts, not when it is created. You therefore always count against the current stock, even if the task was assigned a week ago.
Special situations
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| The location is empty | Press Empty or scan the EMPTY code, then confirm. You cannot do this after regular scans have been made. |
| I scanned one too many | Press Undo last scan, if the scenario allows it. |
| There are 60 units | Press the pencil icon next to the item (tooltip: Override quantity); the Enter the correct quantity window opens. |
| Unknown code | The product is not in the company catalog. Report it to the office; don’t guess. |
| Someone else is using the location | A conflict screen shows their name and start time. Taking over requires permission. |
| I need to stop | Simply exit. The task remains “in progress” and waits for you. |
| I opened the wrong location | Go back. If you have not scanned anything, the task returns to the pool and the shelf is unlocked. |
| I counted more than the system expects (warehouse uses Full batch mode; counting is visible) | A Batch button appears next to the row. One batch on the shelf is marked Suggested; tap it to select it. You can also enter details for a new batch or Clear batch. If you do nothing, the office will assign a batch. There is no button in blind mode; the office assigns the batch. |
Why the keyboard sometimes does not open
Manual quantity entry is available only from the threshold set by the office—20 units by default. For smaller numbers, the system requires scanning each unit individually.
This is anti-fraud protection, not a malfunction. The block is enforced on the server, not only in the interface, so it cannot be bypassed.
