First time using the terminal
Use your regular account and password — no code, card, or device pairing. The warehouse comes from your account; the mode comes from your last use.
The terminal is the same app and account you use on a computer, with a different interface.
Step by step — from sign-in to work
- Sign in normally with your username and password. After signing in, you land on the screen allowed by your permissions — usually not the terminal.
- Expand Warehouse and logistics in the sidebar and click WMS2 Terminal, the first item in that section.
- The terminal opens in the last function used on this device. If there is no function to restore, or you no longer have permission for it, it opens in Replenishment.
- Check the warehouse: press F6. In the Interface settings drawer, under Warehouse, click the button showing the current warehouse. This opens Select warehouse with a list of your warehouses. (The Inter-warehouse transfer mode also has its own warehouse pill on the screen; it opens the same window.)
- If you are carrying something, a Put goods away window blocks the change: You are carrying goods. Put them away (drop them at a location) before changing the warehouse — otherwise they will remain in the old warehouse. Click OK, put the goods away, and try again.
- If the terminal cannot check whether you are carrying something, you will see Could not verify. That is a connection problem, not a problem with the goods.
- Turn on full screen with F5 or the screen icon at the bottom-right of the bar. If the terminal shows a Full-screen mode screen saying Click to start in full-screen mode, press Start. Skip leaves the terminal outside full screen.
- Change the function if needed: tap the function name in the top bar (with a down arrow) and choose a tile in the Change function grid.
No code, card, or PIN
Sign in with your username and password, as you do elsewhere. There is no barcode, contactless card, or PIN login, and there is no pairing between the handheld and the system. The device is anonymous; your account is what matters.
There is a kiosk with a code, but it is for time and attendance, not WMS. They are two different screens; do not confuse them.
How to get there
After signing in, the system takes you to a screen allowed by your permissions — with warehouse access, usually the queue list, not the terminal. Open WMS2 Terminal from the menu.
The warehouse comes from your account
You do not choose a warehouse when entering the terminal. It uses the active warehouse on your account. You can change it in the kiosk (the Warehouse section in the settings drawer under F6; in Inter-warehouse transfer mode, use the warehouse pill on the screen). The list contains only warehouses assigned to you.
Changing warehouses is blocked while you are carrying goods. The message tells you to put them away first; otherwise, they stay in the old warehouse.
The terminal restores the previous mode
The terminal remembers the last function used on this device and restores it at startup, provided it still exists and you still have permission. Otherwise, it opens Replenishment, the default because it requires no additional permission.
Full screen is not forced
The app has no frame from the first second — the menu and footer disappear — but the browser does not enter true full-screen mode automatically. Press F5 or use the icon on the bottom bar to turn it on. This is deliberate: handhelds should be ready for work immediately, without requiring an extra click on a message.
There is also a strict mode in the F6 settings drawer. After you leave full screen, the terminal shows the return screen without a “Skip” button. You must switch back in full screen.
On iPhone and iPad, full screen is not available at all; instead, the terminal asks you to add the page to the Home Screen.
