Live sales — today’s live board

Live sales is a board dedicated exclusively to today, designed to be displayed on an office screen. It refreshes automatically every 15 seconds.

It answers “how much have we sold today?” — the Dashboard does not show this by default because it covers seven days (Dashboard — the first screen after signing in).

Step by step

Put the screen on a wall and read today’s results

1. Side menu → Dashboard → Live sales.
2. Set the filters in the top bar: Currency, Platform, Country, Integration. The last three accept multiple values.
3. On the right side of the bar there is a clock, a countdown to the next refresh, and the time of the last update. The countdown starts at 15.
4. Click the button with outward arrows to enter full-screen mode. It is next to the refresh button.
5. The bar under the filters contains these metrics: GMV, Net, VAT, Orders, Avg. value, Shipped, vs yesterday, Cancelled/Returns. Hover over any metric to see its definition.
6. The selected filters and tab are included in the URL, so you can bookmark the view or share it as a link.

Force a refresh and understand what you will see

1. Click the refresh icon in the top bar. The countdown resets to 15.
2. The cache is calculated separately for each combination of filters and each tab. After forcing a refresh, switching tabs can still show an older snapshot for a moment.
3. Wait a few seconds before treating this as an error.
4. A dot next to a tab name means its data has changed since you last viewed it. It disappears when you open that tab.

Metrics bar

GMV versus Net is the pair most often confused: the former is the gross value including tax, while the latter is the taxable base. Use net for margin discussions and usually GMV for comparisons with marketplaces.

vs yesterday compares with the same time of day, not all of yesterday. At eleven in the morning, it compares with yesterday morning — otherwise the metric would always be negative early in the day.

Seven tabs

Live overview, Platforms, Products, Geography, Trends, Live Feed, and Summary.

Live Feed is a stream of orders in the order they arrived — the most “live” part of the screen.

15-second cache

Data is cached for 15 seconds, separately for each combination of filters and each tab.

Practical consequence: after forcing a refresh, switching tabs may briefly show an older snapshot. Wait a few seconds before treating this as an error.

Currency note

This screen converts currencies using the same mechanism as the Dashboard — it silently assumes a 1:1 exchange rate when a rate is missing (Dashboard — what is not obvious at first glance).

What is not here

There is no export. This screen is for viewing, not downloading. Get historical data from the Dashboard or the order list (Order list — what you see on screen).
